Christmas Holidays

These holidays we did much less than planned, we had a lot of rest, watching movies and playing games. But amongst a few things we still managed to go to Basel’s Christmas market (it took us three attempts to succeed, but we did it). That was worth the difficulties to get there. We found delicious homemade marzipan and cute little shops everywhere. Then, of course, we had our share of family meals for Christmas and friends gathering for New Year Eve.

Biking & Hiking Video

This was our holiday last summer. It’s my first video ever and there still room for improvement. Hopefully next video will be better quality thanks to Luna’s new camera. I’m already looking forward to publishing HD holiday movies ;-)

Swiss E3

E3 is one of the biggest videogame event, or at least used to be. During my holidays I came across a flyer announcing E-Games, an event in Bern. Would that be a Swiss version of E3 ? I thought so, until I noticed pictures of girls playing with dolls. Anyway I just had to check it out.

Childhood

20080720-DSC_0042There are these guys you knew when you were a child. And through kid eyes they looked like heroes and stars. Because they’re actually talented or because you just see them a lot. Whatever the reason is, they are just unforgettable memories from youth. Once in adulthood, you’d look back and actually see them as one of the main part of your youth.

With current trend that old stuff is fashion, we see them trying to coming back to us. Most of them older but still trying to do the same stuff. That may end up being pathetic. But I was recently extremely surprised when I went to Corbier’s concert a few months ago. His spirit didn’t get old at all. Throwing stupid joke between songs, singing weird lyrics and making funny face. Exactly how I left him more than 15 years ago.

It was so fun that I didn’t hesitate one second when I learned he was giving a second concert. This time we went with more friends, and again everybody was singing and clapping together in a really peaceful mood. I bet it is Corbier’s strength to wake up the child inside each one of us. Honestly it’s not incredibly great music, but that’s one of the best concert I attended to. May he come a third time, I would sign up at this instant.

Hiking

After one day break (to get Luna’s new computer), we left in train to Davos for a week of hiking. As usual it started quite bad. We were on time for leaving, but the famous bridge we stopped to look at was actually wrapped in red cloth. It is under renovation till 2010. We took pictures anyway and will be back later if we are still around by then.
